Description[]

"Sol Invicta is a syncretic religion that emerged after the Event, blending both Catholic and Aztec influences. Like the Mictlantec, Sol Invictists believe that light and darkness are locked in perpetual conflict. However, unlike the Mictlantec faith, Sol Invicta is a monotheistic religion. Their supreme deity is the sun goddess known as Sol Invicta, the Unconquered Sun. Adherents believe that Sol Invicta is locked in an eternal war with the evil Dark Father, and that the Event was the result of a particularly destructive battle between the two deities." ― In-Game description of Sol Invicta

History[]

While many in southern Mexico took to the Mictlantec faith easily, others thought the change far too extreme. This lead to the blending of the Mictlantec and Catholic faiths. The religion as of 2666, though, is largely isolated to the former state of Oaxaca.
