Description[]
The Purépecha had, at one time been the greatest rivals- and the greatest threat- of the Aztec Empire. Not once did a Purépecha army ever fall to an Aztec. But when news reached the leader that their rival had surrendered to the Spanish, he swore fealty without any battle. The vassalage was broken, though, when Purépecha uprising prompted the Spaniards to devastate their lands, reducing them to a tiny corner of their Empire.
Now the Purépecha stand mighty once again, ruling over the Kingdom of Michoacán, and one child away from leading a personal union with the mighty Mixteca- and poised to take the great city of Tenochtitlan.
