Postadventist is one of the Religions practiced in After the End. Postadventist is part of the Christian religious group and is considered an heresy of the Evangelical faith.

Description[]

"Postadventists believe that the Second Coming has already happened, that Jesus came to judge the living and the dead... and was not pleased. They are also notable for observing Saturday rather than Sunday as their day of rest and for their skepticism towards all non-Postadventist temporal authorities. For obvious reasons, mainstream Evangelicals condemn Postadventists as heretics." ― In-game description of Postadventist

History[]

Postadventism evolved from the modern Adventist movement, and was one of the largest obstacles to the formation of the Evangelical Council and the Holy Columbian Confederacy. Because of this, Evangelicals as a whole have been quick to stamp out Postadventist sentiment springing up in Confederate land. Should the Council's authority be weakened, however, there is a chance it may flourish again.

Beliefs[]

Postadventism has it's roots in Seventh-Day Adventist from before the event whose belief held that Jesus Christ would return visibly to Earth after a "time of trouble", during which the Sabbath (the seventh day) will become a worldwide test. The Second Coming would be followed by a millennial reign of the saints in heaven. The Event was to them the second coming -recent version has altered their aims-. For this reason they distrust any authority that is not Postadventist. These beliefs play a part in the Postadventist tendency towards the theocratic government.
