"Sometime either during or just after the Apocalypse, the Church of the Falling Star believes a star fell from the heavens and onto Earth. This star was a fallen Angel who had sacrificed themselves to save mankind from God's wrath, explaining humanity's survival. Practitioners of the Falling Star faith are generally viewed with suspicion by those with more traditional Christian beliefs, as the concept of Fallen Angels is generally thought of as evil and associated with Satan. However, the Falling Star faithful insist their angel has little in common with the fallen Angel Lucifer, and that their angel's compassion reawakened God's mercy in a moment of anger. History

Falling Star is the most removed of the Christian faiths, both theologically and geographically. Their faith is largely centered on an angelic prophet whose sacrifice ensured the survival of humanity. It has been hypothesized by scholars that this "star" may in fact have been a simple meteorite, or a pre-event artifact that fell from the sky.The Falling Star faith is championed by the Miskito people in the post-Event world. As of 2666, It is found along the eastern coasts of Honduras and Nicaragua mainly in the Kingdom of Moskitia. The religion is mainly derived from the practices of the antediluvian Moravian Church mixed with local Miskito animism.

The Christianization of the Miskito people occurred ages ago in the imperial period of the antediluvian world. According to the detailed records of the Moskitian monarchy, the ancient kings of Moskitia were first evangelized by members of the Protestant Moravian Church from Old Europe. Following the royal family's conversion, the people of Moskitia readily adopted the religion. Later, other Protestant denominations along with the Catholic Church also took root along the Mosquito Coast, but the Moravian Church maintained its dominance in the region. Still, despite their Christianization, the Moskito people held on to many animist indigenous traditions such as belief in divine dreams, strange omens, a fascination with the moon, and the concept of an impersonal 'Father' figure.

After the Event, the Moskito people reformed the great Moskitian Kingdom and spread out across old Nicaragua and Honduras. With them, they brought their unique Christian faith. While remaining steadfast to traditional Christian doctrines derived from the Moravian Church, the Moskitian form of Christianity also incorporated several indigenous aspects into its teachings as well as the veneration of the falling "angel".

The faith is almost exclusively practiced in the Kingdom of Moskitia, with few other independent lords practicing, and far removed from any other Christian lords.

• Bluefields, the main port city of the Miskito region and the center from which the Moravian Church spread through Central America

As of 2666, only two of the holy sites (Bluefields and San Miguel) are within the lands of the Falling Star faithful. Meanwhile, Panama is held by a Patria Grande king, and both Belize and the Virgin Isles are held by Rastafarians under the banner of the Caribbean Empire.

In-Game features

There is (and can exist) no religious head. Formerly had a religious head, called The Unity Province, a theocracy which ruled in Bluefields as a vassal to the king of Moskitia.
