Empire[]

Notes:

  • To completely control a title means all baronies in the de jure area of that title are in your realm. Use the Sow Dissent mission of your Chancellor to check for baronies within your borders that are not part of your realm, such as castles built by holy orders and cities taken by merchant republics.
  • Activating a title means, even if it later has no holder, it can be created by clicking Create the traditional way.

Restore America[]

Requirements:

  • Not playing an alternate start, and Extra Empires game rule is not Off
  • Adult, not prisoner or incapable
  • 2500 Prestige
  • 250 realm size
  • One of the following religious groups: Christian, Old World Cultist, Pagan if reformed, Jewish, Muslim, Latter-Day Saints
  • One of the following cultures:
    • Culture groups: Mid-Atlantic, Laurentian if NOT Ontarian, South Anglo, Upland
    • Cultures: Deitsch, Rostmann, Yiddish, Yankee
  • Holds and completely controls the Kingdom of Columbia
  • Holds at least one of the following Kingdoms: Gotham, The Old Dominion, Tar Heel, Palmetto
  • Holds an Empire
  • 2 years' income in wealth
  • One of the following:
    • Americanist religion, and is a religious head (i.e. the President)
    • Emperor of Holy Columbian Confederacy, Evangelical religion, and Moral Authority is at 100%
    • Emperor of The New South, Catholic religion, and MA at 100%
    • Emperor of The Empire State, and MA at 100% (any eligible religion)
    • Any eligible religion, MA at least 80%, and completely controls ALL of the following Kingdoms: Gotham, The Old Dominion, Tar Heel, Palmetto
  • This decision has never been taken before, and the Empire of America has no holder

Effect:

  • Activate the Empire of America
  • Lose 2 years' income
  • If no nickname, gain the nickname "the Great" (overriden by the event?)
  • All held kingdom titles join the de jure America
  • If primary title is an Empire (which it is), its de jure vassals join the de jure America
  • Gain the Empire of America, which copies the previous primary title's laws
  • If not a Merchant Republic, America's succession law is set to Imperial Elective
  • All held Kingdom titles, except Columbia, are destroyed
  • All held Empire titles, except America, are destroyed and deactivated
  • Narrative event: americarestored.1 from events/america_restored_events.txt
    • +1000 prestige
    • If not Latter-Day Saints religious group, gain the nickname "the Patriot"
    • If Latter-Day Saints religious group, gain the nickname "the White Horse"

Form the Empire State[]

Requirements:

  • Extra Empires game rule is not Off
  • This decision has never been taken before, and neither has "Restore America", nor does America have a holder
  • Independent
  • Adult, not prisoner or incapable, at peace
  • Culture: Gothamite, Hudsonian, Yiddish
  • 1500 prestige
  • 2 years' income in wealth
  • 150 realm size
  • Holds the Kingdoms of Gotham and Hudsonia
  • Completely controls these Duchies (all of Hudsonia and some of Gotham): Adirondack, Finger Lakes, Onondaga, Mohawk Valley, Hudson Valley, Champlain, Catskill, New York, Long Island
  • Completely controls these Counties (in the Duchy of Niagara): Niagara, Chautauqua, Genesee
  • Does not hold the Holy Columbian Confederacy or the Kingdom of Keystone

Effect:

  • Activate The Empire State (NYS; an Empire)
  • Gain The Empire State, which copies the previous primary title's laws
  • Lose 2 years' income
  • If no nickname, gain the nickname "the Great"
  • The Kingdoms of Hudsonia and Gotham join the de jure NYS, and are destroyed
  • The County of Erie joins the (previously titular) Duchy of Erie (unless you control it, as seen below)
  • The Duchy of Erie joins the de jure Kingdom of Alleghenia
  • The Duchy of Niagara (its remaining 3 counties, listed above) joins the de jure Kingdom of Hudsonia
  • All held kingdom titles join the de jure NYS
  • If primary title is an empire, its de jure vassals join the de jure NYS
  • All held empire titles are destroyed and deactivated
  • If the Duchy of Green Mountains is completely controlled, it joins the (previously titular) Kingdom of Vermont, which joins NYS
    • Vermont must either still be titular or be completely controlled, and either have no holder or be held by you

  • Culture: Delawarean, Deitch, Rostmann
  • 1000 prestige
  • 1.5 years' income in wealth
  • Holds one of the following titles: Kingdom of Deitscherei, Kingdom of Alleghenia, Duchy of Philadelphia (starts titular and held by the Count of Philadelphia), Duchy of Delaware Valley
  • Primary title is Deitscherei, Alleghenia, or lower tier than Kingdom
  • Completely controls these Duchies (all of Deitscherei and most of Alleghenia): Coalland, Lower Susquehanna, Upper Susquehanna, The Wilds, Westsylvania
  • Completely controls these Counties: Erie, Philadelphia
  • Does not hold an Empire

Effects:

  • Activate the Kingdom of Keystone
  • Gain the Kingdom of Keystone, which copies the previous primary title's laws
  • Lose 1.5 years' income
  • If no nickname, gain the nickname "the Great"
  • De jure changes:
    • The County of Erie joins the (previously titular) Duchy of Erie, which joins Keystone
    • The County of Philadelphia joins the (previously titular) Duchy of Philadelphia, which joins Keystone
    • The County of Wilmington joins the Duchy of Delmarva

      • If Niagara is fully controlled, it instead joins Keystone and keeps the County of Erie
